Wendepunkt die Leipziger Montagsdemonstration am 9. Oktober 1989 war. Die Friedliche Revolution ist ein wesentlicher Teil der demokratischen Traditionslinie der Bundesrepublik und geh\u00f6rt als erster gelungener antidiktatorischer und vor allem gewaltfreier Aufstand zu den besonderen Ereignissen unserer Geschichte, auf den alle Deutschen stolz sein k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Freiheit, Demokratie und B\u00fcrgerrechte sind jedoch keine Selbstverst\u00e4ndlichkeit, weder heute noch f\u00fcr alle zuk\u00fcnftige Zeiten. Ebenso kann ein gepflanzter Baum oder Garten ein Denkmal sein oder auch eine Internetplattform im virtuellen Raum.<br \/>\nForm, Botschaft und k\u00fcnstlerische Gestaltung eines k\u00fcnftigen Freiheits- und Einheitsdenkmals in Leipzig sind noch nicht beschlossen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>F\u00fcr die Gestalt des Denkmals wird k\u00fcnstlerischen Denkmalswettbewerb stattfinden.
